It is from the time period when Gamewell call boxes were used to determine the area where the fire was and a telegraph signal was sent back to the station ... ... It has a brass or bronze bell and brass operating parts .. .. The base is oak wood about 9 1/4" long by 5" wide ... .... To the top of the acorn nut for the bell is about 8" high ... ... The alarm bell is sold as seen for parts or repair with no assurance that it will function as designed it may need some work ......
