This was my Geologist fathers facsimile machine for many years. Used in the Michigan oil patch to transmit down hole electric logs. He is now semi-retired and ready to part with this nostalgic machine. Now available for purchase to the right buyer! This piece is a part of electronic history and is a great addition to many collections of rare vintage electronics.
Made circa 1975 - 1985 in overall excellent vintage condition. A few cosmetic flaws on the machine surface. Great integrity to the interior and all the accessories, chords, and tools (See photos)
This unit has not been tested in over 20 years, but was in perfect working condition before being put into storage. My father takes excellent care of his antique items as his father was an antique dealer himself. There is a lot of unique history behind this beautiful machine. The Exxon Qwip was very instrumental in revolutionizing the transmission of documents in the business industry.
