This Salvino figurine of Gale Sayers was released in 1992.
This is an earlier produced Sayers figurine, as only the right foot is pegged.
Later figurines pegged both feet.
This is numbered 306 of 1000 pieces.
This figurine base measures approximately 5" x 6.5", and the cold cast porcelain figurine of Sayers measures stands over 8" tall.
The figurine comes with the original box and certificate of authenticity.
It also comes with the Bears helmet.
The signature was signed in blue sharpie and is very clean on a signature card.
Salvino does not exist anymore, but was a staple in the figurine hobby industry in the late 1980s and 1990s.
Gale Sayers was an American professional football player who was both a halfback and return specialist in the National Football League.
In a relatively brief but highly productive NFL career, Sayers spent seven seasons with the Chicago Bears from 1965 to 1971.
Sayers was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977 at age 34 and remains the youngest person to have received the honor.
